Let's start off with you telling me a little about Harper's Island and the character you play.

Ah, yes -- Harper's Island.  I noticed you interviewed Ali; sort of the same thing that she was saying about it being a 13 week mini-series, and because we can't really talk about it -- we're all given the same thing to say.  Basically, like she said -- it's this great new concept that was so much fun to work on because we didn't know what was happening from week to week; kind of like Survivor reality mixed with set characters in the horror genre... which I love.  My character, I play the bride's older sister, Shea.  I'm the maid of honor, my character lives the perfect life... comes from a wealthy family and is trying to basically help her sister with the wedding as much as possible.  She's really uptight -- there's a lot going on underneath; you'd think that she's got it all together, but really she's kind of got a messed up marriage and a really weird daughter... and if you've been watching the show you'd know how creepy Madison is.  It's just a little bizarre world -- that actually happens a lot in life -- it was a really fun character to play.

Are you guys done filming?

Yeah, they wrapped everything up -- but we didn't know what was happening... so they started airing them and we kind of all standby and see what happens like everybody else.

So you're watching it as it airs each week?

Well, when I can -- I've missed a couple, but it's really fun to catch them when I can.  It's been really neat to see it all come together.

What are your thoughts on it moving from Thursday nights to Saturday nights?  Do you think that's a good thing for the show?

Wow, that's kind of networky stuff.  I don't really think about that kind of stuff; maybe I should, but I don't.  But I thikn it's great; in Canada it's Thursday's and Saturday's -- then down here it's Saturday's.  I think the fans like it; the people that are watching love it -- so they'll watch it on Saturday... Tuesday --- or any day.

I know a lot of people were afraid of it being cancelled and not airing all 13 episodes.

Yeah, it's not going to be cancelled.  I think rumors always fly.

Can you say anything about the upcoming shows that haven't aired yet?

I can't really say anything.

That's what I figured.

Yeah.

How hard was it to get into character when you didn't even know the entire script for the whole show?

It's fine, for me that's like any other series -- on other series when you do two seasons -- you may know the general arc of where your character is going, but you never base your performance on what might happen a year later.  For me; I just took what was on the page and made it my own -- it's actually very interesting.  So really; I think it was my job to take what I was given and do the best I could with it.  I liked the new approach to the show; I've never done anything like it -- I quite liked it.

What was the vibe like on set?

Oh, it was awesome.  Again, nobody knew -- and like Ali said in her interview; everyone's kind of on their best behavior -- I don't know, it was jut a different thing -- I really liked it.  I think that actors can get a little lazy if they're guaranteed work; this was a neat vibe because everyone was just so into what was happening and what might happen -- it was just a huge unknown, and it just gave a really fun energy to everybody.  It was really fun.  And not knowing also takes the pressure off; you could be gone next week so have a great time while you're shooting and just do the best with what you've got -- and I really liked that.  It was very refreshing.

How did some of the actors take it when they found out they were going to be the next victim?

Karim, the producer, had a blog about that -- because again I can't really comment much on that.  I think most people -- my attitude would be -- no matter what happens just have a great time with it.  Just enjoy the ride and see what happens.  If fans are interested in what they did feel, they can go to Karim's blog online.  They can see how it happened -- it's fun to read along week to week.

I'm assuming they'll have a DVD or Blu-Ray release eventually -- do you happen to know when that might be?

I don't know when or how that's all going to go down, but we all did interviews for the DVD and stuff like that here and there; so they'll piece little tidbits in there and make an interesting DVD with it.  But I'm not sure when that will happen.

Let's get off the subject -- tell me how you got started in the business.

I just loved performing; I wanted to my whole life.  As far as the actual acting business; I just did it -- I just went in and I got an agent.  I had no credits to my name -- no experience, but I had an audition with my agent and she took a chance on me.  As far as acting -- it's always something I wanted to do -- coming from a small town in the middle of nowhere with a single parent I had no idea how to achieve my dreams -- I just went through and did the best I could -- just kept dreaming, and it all just happened with lots of hard work.

You also have a movie called Brand New Day coming out...

Yeah, that's actually a Jennifer Aniston film.  I went in and read for the role, and it was this tiny little part -- but the fact that I got in and got to read for it with the caliber of cast that was working on it -- I didn't even care... "I'll do anything in this movie, I just want to be on set... and check it out".  So that's exactly what happened, and when I got the call they were; "Are you sure you want to do this?".  Everything is important; even small roles.  It's a lighthearted romance; but again -- with who was working in it -- it was just a huge learning experience.

What else do you have planned for this year?

Well, there's lots coming up -- but it's kind of in negotiations so I can't go into it.  Lots of things, it's been quite a ride -- doing so much for the show down here in Los Angeles and doing tons of auditions.  But we'll see; obviously keep moving and keep working.
